Isekai Tanjou

In 2006, 6th grader Shimada Chika resents her mother, Fumie, who has taken up writing a fantasy light novel about Chika’s deceased brother, Takashi. The story follows Takashi’s reincarnation in another world, where he uses modern knowledge to craft weapons and fight a demon lord. Chika, frustrated by her mother’s new obsession, seeks help from Katayama, the driver who killed Takashi in an accident. Katayama, however, is captivated by the novel and suggests a plan to Chika. Amid a stagnant and hollow time, the internet buzzes with emotion and conflict, marking the rise of a new genre.
