Students in Class 2-D at Kairei Private Middle School receive an email outlining a class hierarchy at the start of the school year. Tsubaki Himeyama, ranked first, eases the resulting tension with her cheerful attitude, restoring a sense of normalcy. However, this changes when Himeyama is discovered dead on campus by suicide. After returning from her funeral, each classmate finds a suicide note addressed to them on their desk. The notes hint at hidden issues within the class, raising questions about what led to Himeyama’s death. The story includes an additional chapter.
