Akimoto runs a small variety store when a reclusive picture book author named Laurence arrives in town. Laurence is in Japan for professional reasons, and Akimoto agrees to keep an eye on him at the request of a mutual friend. During this time, Akimoto learns that Laurence is the creator of "Anneli," a book that means a great deal to him. This is the author's first BL manga.
