Kyouhei objects to his father's arrangement allowing a friend's daughter to stay with them temporarily while her parents work abroad. Kyouhei, a somewhat traditional and self-conscious teenager, worries about appearing un-cool. The girl, Izumi, disrupts the household with her bold and unconventional behavior, showing little concern for social norms or modesty. Her modern attitude contrasts sharply with Kyouhei's more conservative outlook. Despite this, Kyouhei is not without his own strengths, particularly in martial arts training with a practice sword.
