A man dealing with divorce and financial struggles works in construction and is not an ideal father figure. He is approached by a talent scout to join a television show called Fist of Legend, where middle-aged men who were known for their strength in their youth compete in a no-holds-barred contest. The loser faces public mockery. Initially, he declines the offer. However, when his daughter gets into serious trouble that she cannot manage on her own, he agrees to take part in the competition to earn the prize money and prevent her from being expelled from school.
