Jiayou, Damowang!

A long time ago, the Magic Lord waged war against humans, and the Three Great Sages fought fiercely against him. One Sage gave his life to seal the Magic Lord. Eight hundred years later, during an Advancement Test, an apprentice sorcerer named Salamander accidentally releases a hypnotic gas. It is later discovered that his pet snake, Fu, can transform into a human. Fu takes Salamander and flees from the test. Upon learning this, the Senior Mage who raised Salamander becomes extremely distressed. The Senior Mage appears to have a compelling reason to disregard the rules and promote Salamander to Grade 1, Star Class.
