A 50-something woman named Fumie, diagnosed with six months to live, resigns from her job and purchases a dilapidated, problematic house. Initially, she believed the structure was sufficient as long as it was weatherproof, but she eventually enlists the help of a friend named Ume to make repairs. Fumie, seeking a quiet end to her life, starts living in the home, embracing a peculiar new chapter.
