Jinba

In an alternate version of medieval Japan, centaurs—referred to as jinba—live alongside humans. Once considered divine, they were later enslaved during a time of war for their physical abilities and linguistic skills. Those in open areas were quickly controlled, while many in mountainous regions remained free. Matsukaze, a fierce mountain jinba nicknamed the redheaded rock tiger, is captured while defending his son and sold to a local warlord. There, he encounters Kohibari, a tamed centaur who lost his arms after being captured as a child and has since lost the will to escape. The two must find a way to overcome their differences if they hope to regain their freedom and return to the wilderness.
