A duke's power is activated only through union with his destined mate, known as his "phero." To weaken his rival, Krua's father sends her to Duke Arzenta, pretending to be his phero, with the goal of stealing his power. Krua, however, plans to escape. She convinces her husband to pretend to be a loving couple until the duke's true phero arrives, allowing her to leave safely. Whether her husband will let her go remains uncertain.
