To end the wars, the Emperor introduced a festival featuring 5v5 proxy battles, requiring each tribe to send a representative known as a "beastblade." Princess Ibusuki from the Rabbit tribe, the least powerful of the twelve, sought a strong warrior to protect her people and encountered Hijimaru from the Lion tribe. This meeting set in motion a larger conflict.
