A young French enthusiast of kaiju, Pierre, visits Tokyo in search of a firsthand encounter with one. He meets a government researcher named Misaki, and the two investigate the reason behind the annual migration and attacks of kaiju on Tokyo since 1954, despite their initial sightings occurring in southern islands.
