In a world marked by barren lands and seafaring vessels, a rare sub-human species known as mermaids exists. Their hair is typically white, though it changes color underwater. These beings are valuable commodities among the elite. Hisui is a merman with red hair, owned by a noble. He is taken by the pirate Ikuta, who grants him freedom, beginning a shared journey between them.
