This manga presents a realistic depiction of the Battle of Okinawa and its aftermath, focusing on the internal and external conflicts faced during the war. It won the Grand Prize in the Manga Division at the 7th Japan Media Arts Festival. One story, "Kajimunugatai," centers on a village coming together to confront three American soldiers accused of rape.
