Following Yoritomo's death, Tsunetoki, the Hojo clan's regent, lost his support and arranged for his 16-year-old sister, Princess Hikawa, to marry the seven-year-old shogun. The story explores her true feelings and her emotional struggles. It takes place in Kamakura, depicting the conflicts between political rivals and the relationships of the women involved.
