In 16th-century Japan, a samurai general named Saito arranges for his daughter to marry the son of the shogun, Nobunaga. One of Saito's vassals, Mitsuhide, secretly loves the girl and disguises himself as a female handmaid to remain close to her. While traveling to the territory of Nobunaga, the group unexpectedly encounters the young shogun. The situation takes an unexpected turn when Nobunaga develops strong feelings for Mitsuhide.
