A woman arrives at a wealthy family's home to write a biography of a famous actress. Her work is hindered by the actress's brother, who is also the family head, as he constantly harasses her. She shows no interest in him or his wealth, but others, including the brother's son, believe she is after money. Tension is high between the father and son, but the woman notices intense desire in the son's gaze.
