Kannagi

A student named Mikuriya Jin carves a statue from a recently cut sacred tree for an art project. As he prepares to take it to school, the tree's goddess, Nagi, awakens within the statue after a long slumber, unaware that the tree has been destroyed. With the sacred tree no longer able to guard the area from impurities, Nagi must now take on the responsibility herself, pulling Jin into her efforts.
