After a failed battle, an Aircraft Carrier awakens as one of the 'ship-girls,' young girls with abilities and memories from a past war. She reunites with her sister and meets an Admiral who reveals the existence of the Abyssal Ships, a threat to humanity. Determined to protect a world reminiscent of her past, she returns to battle while grappling with the harsh reality of her new existence.
