Kantai no Chef

During World War II, the destroyer Kofu operated in the Pacific Ocean, frequently stationed at the front lines. Beneath the ship's bridge, a group of men performed duties unrelated to combat. These individuals, known as "Cooking Officers," were responsible for preparing meals for the crew. Their role involved ensuring that food was provided to support the sailors during their service. The narrative follows these non-combat personnel and their efforts to maintain morale and sustenance through their culinary work aboard the vessel. The story includes thirteen additional chapters that expand on this aspect of military life.
