Nitori was mistakenly sent to the Bird Afterlife instead of the human one. Chief Karasuma, a raven deity and afterlife employee, initially refuses to help but eventually allows Nitori to work under him. Nitori has a strong affection for birds, especially for Chief Karasuma, admiring his appearance and features. He must navigate this unfamiliar afterlife while working in this unexpected environment.
