Kaze Tachinu

The story centers on Jirou Horikoshi, the creator of Japan's Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter aircraft during World War II. It also draws from Tatsuo Hori's 1936–37 novelette, which portrays the developing bond between an unnamed male character and Setsuko, who is gradually affected by tuberculosis.
