Kemono no Souja

A 10-year-old girl named Erin lives with her mother in the Tai Koh Region, where she is fond of Touda, dragon-like creatures used in warfare. Her mother, Soyon, is a member of the Mist People, an ancient group with green-eyed individuals. Erin’s late father was the son of a village chief who bred Touda, so Erin and Soyon reside in that village, with Soyon serving as the lead Touda healer. One night, the Kiba, the Duke’s most powerful Touda, dies under mysterious circumstances, altering Erin’s life and drawing her into the country’s larger destiny. The narrative follows Erin from childhood through adulthood.
