A player named Sakimori Kagami awakens in the virtual world of Arch Earth Online, a game he has played extensively. Upon logging in, he discovers that his character has changed—instead of his usual old, bearded sorcerer avatar, he now appears as a young woman. He must now persuade others in the game that this new form belongs to the long-lost apprentice of a vanished wise man.
