Kettou! Shinsengumi
血闘!新選組
At the close of the Edo period in Kyoto, the "Mibu Roshigumi," a group of samurai from Mito, was tasked with preserving order during the conflict between the Kinno and Sabaku factions. After Serizawa Kamo and his men from Mito acted improperly, Isamu Kondo and his Bushu subordinates were ordered to kill him. Following Serizawa's death, the group was officially renamed by the Imperial Court and became known as the "Shinsengumi." The manga portrays the lives of these men committed to the bushido code, presented in a realistic historical style by mangaka Takao Saito. Originally published as two single-volume supplements in the *Ran Twins* magazine.
