Naoshi submits his work to a publishing company, where he meets the charismatic and regal editor, Nikaido. Despite Nikaido's refined appearance, he is known for being harsh and critical, rejecting Naoshi's work outright. Years later, Naoshi is striving to become a successful manga artist, enduring Nikaido's demanding mentorship. Over time, strange physical contact between them causes Naoshi to feel emotionally unsettled.
