Yasutaka Iijima, a glasses-wearing boy, avoids interaction with Ema Kitaoka, a well-liked girl in their class. Their relationship changes during a school camping trip, where they meet by chance and begin speaking. Their conversations are limited to outside school hours, and neither is certain about the other's actual feelings.
