Kimi no Neiro

Akira Tsubakiya has always been mistaken for a boy due to her tall frame, flat chest, and lack of feminine traits. In middle school, she formed a bond with Haru, a classmate from her cram school, and they promised to attend the same elite high school. After Haru expresses a preference for girls with long hair, Akira grows hers out, developing feelings for him. When she learns he has a girlfriend—described as cute, feminine, and long-haired—she cuts her hair short and gives up trying to appear more girly. In high school, Akira wears the male half of the uniform and is nicknamed "Prince Akira," attracting attention from female students. Though she hasn't seen Haru recently, she encounters his girlfriend, only to discover that she is actually a boy.
