A collection of four self-contained stories. In the first, a student unexpectedly falls onto a teacher, leading to rumors of a suicide attempt. The teacher investigates the student's motives. In the second, a lonely businessman adopts a starving boy, questioning the boy's true identity. The other two stories are not described in detail.
