A locked-room murder occurs at a school, disrupting the lives of two siblings, Hitsuuchi Samatoki and Hitsuuchi Yorotsuki, who are nearing a forbidden boundary, and two friends, Mukaezuki Hakohiko and Kotohara Ririsu. The incident fractures their realities as they become entangled in the mystery.
