A quiet and socially isolated girl named Da-Som Park hurries to meet her only friend, Iseul Chae, who is admired for her beauty and popularity. She arrives to find Iseul's lifeless body, or what remains of it. Da-Som enters the body and assumes Iseul's idealized life. As she uncovers disturbing truths about Iseul's family, she begins to question what happened to her friend and whether her own presence in Iseul's shell was a mistake.
