Helen Godwin, a plain and serious tutor, is employed by the Somerset family at their Glown Hall estate to teach their son Henry. The mansion is filled with dark history, and Helen soon hears rumors of a ghost, mental instability, and hidden secrets. Raymond, Henry’s older brother known for his womanizing, becomes interested in Helen despite her unassuming nature.
