Yamashiro Koyomi, who had dreamed of becoming a high school teacher, repeatedly failed the teacher employment exam after graduating from university. Just as she considered giving up, she received news that she had passed. However, she discovered she had mistakenly applied for an "animal trainer" position instead of a teaching one. The job was at a school in Aima Prefecture, a facility dedicated to training inexperienced UMA to become competent ones. Initially reluctant, Koyomi was convinced to accept when the principal promised support for a transfer to another high school if she succeeded in her role for a year. With no prior training experience, she begins her challenging journey as a homeroom teacher and UMA trainer.
