Kobayashi Shounen to Futei no Kaijin
小林少年と不逞の怪人
The manga adapts a 1925 short story titled *The Case of the Murder on D. Hill* by Japanese mystery writer Ranpo Edogawa. It marks the beginning of a series featuring the fictional private detective Kogorou Akechi. In both the original story and the series, a character named Yoshio Kobayashi leads the Boy Detectives Club and serves as Akechi's apprentice. The boy occasionally disguises himself as a young woman to assist in solving cases.
