Kobold King

Gaius Balderus has lived a life of distinction, rising from obscurity to become a feared warrior, respected general, and influential advisor. His reputation for strength and intimidation has left little room for others to see his gentler nature. Seeking escape from his past, he retreats to the edge of human civilization, a harsh land where both people and monsters struggle to survive. There, he encounters a group of kobolds, small and furry, who are evading human threats. The kobolds are wary of him, rejecting all aspects of his former identity. The question remains whether he can reconcile with his history and earn their trust.
