Yoshioka is a new student whose class representative is Matsubara. Shortly after starting high school, Yoshioka becomes ill and must stay home. Matsubara calls to check on her, and she becomes fond of his voice. When they finally meet, Yoshioka notices an unusual trait—she is unable to see Matsubara's face.
