Kogarashi Kenshi

A young samurai named Kiritaro, living during the Warring States period, was on a quest to find his mother. During his journey, he met Kasumi, a ninja from the Kouga school, and stayed briefly with her and her grandfather, Hakuun, a skilled ninja master. After Kiritaro continued his travels, Hakuun was murdered by Shin Higashihara. With no family left, Kasumi joined Kiritaro to seek vengeance for her grandfather's death. The story is the debut work of its author, released in 1957 by Tomoe Publishing. It marks the beginning of his career in manga, following earlier work in picture books, and is recognized as a significant piece in manga history for pioneering the Ninja Bugeicho and Kamuiden genres.
