Koguresou Monogatari

A dilapidated six-room apartment houses four individuals dealing with personal struggles. The first floor is occupied by an elderly building owner seeking intimacy before death and a university student caught in a sorrowful, complex romance. The second floor includes a salaryman who derives purpose from watching the student and Mayu, whose boyfriend vanished years ago. A nearby florist concerned about her husband's unfaithfulness and Mine, still affected by a past crime, are also connected. Each seeks love but encounters only suffering and disappointment. The question remains whether they will recognize that healing may come from the rundown apartment and the genuine connections they form with one another.
