A young man, after being dumped, finds a copy of *The Tale of Genji* and becomes fascinated by it. He begins to read it repeatedly, each time gaining new insights. Over time, he reflects on his past relationships and personal growth. The narrative alternates between his current life and the classical text, drawing parallels between his experiences and the story's themes. The manga includes five additional chapters that expand on these reflections and connections.
