Saijou is a college student with the power to see sparkles that represent a girl's feelings. Since no sparkles appear around him, he keeps his distance from girls, except for Kitashiro, a friend from middle school. He encounters Shinonome, a girl curious about love, and chooses to befriend her, believing they share something in common.
