Miyako, overwhelmed by work, decides to adopt a cat for comfort but leaves without one. On her way home, she discovers a child unconscious in the snow wearing a parka with cat ears. After bringing him home and cleaning him up, she finds he is a young boy who demands to stay or he will call the police. The story follows their new living arrangement. The series consists of 18 main chapters, 12 additional short chapters, and three bonus chapters included in the volumes.
