Kore ga Mahoutsukai no Kirifuda

A master swordsman named Rix, disillusioned by war, pretends to die to escape combat and pursue a quiet life. He enrolls in a magic school despite having no magical talent. There, he partners with Shino, a scholarship student, and remains undeterred by her distant demeanor. He applies his sword skills in a setting meant for magic, often disrupting conventional methods. His abilities draw attention from the Imperial princess, who attempts to enlist him in the military. He refuses, as his goal is not to become the most powerful, but to live a simple and fulfilling life.
