Kujakuiro no Canary

Akiko learns from her dying mother that she has a twin sister who was adopted by a wealthy man, living a life of luxury and affection, in stark contrast to Akiko's own life of poverty and neglect. Inspired by the tale of the Canary who killed the Peacock to become the ruler of birds, Akiko vows to take her sister's life for herself, no matter the cost. A separate one-shot story, *Pollyanna no Kishi*, reveals that as a child, a boy saved her life before she was even born. Throughout her life, Pollyanna will encounter this "knight" repeatedly.
