By day, Wataru Kaido works as an undertaker, and by night, he rides as a biker, chasing the dream of achieving unmatched speed. After reaching 300 kmh, he is involved in a severe accident that puts him into a three-year coma. Upon waking, he discovers that modern Japan no longer exists. Accompanied by a supernatural being and possessing an enigmatic transplanted eye, Wataru begins a personal journey across the changed landscape. The manga is based on the original draft for *Shadows of the Damned*, a loose adaptation of Kafka’s *The Castle*.
