Kurenai Niou

A girl named Yoshida Tamako, the youngest of eleven siblings, was taken to Kyoto's Gion district at age three by the Okami of a traditional Maiko/Geiko house. There, she adopts the name Sakiko and begins training to become a maiko. Over time, she rises to prominence as one of Gion's most celebrated figures, known as "Sakuya." The story, created by Yamato Waki-sensei, explores the customs and aesthetics of Kyoto while offering insight into the private lives of maikos and geikos.
