Nea encounters a monster known as an apothecary, which typically consumes a person's lifespan in return for fulfilling their desires. However, this apothecary shows no interest in doing so. After arriving in Weem, Nea is given the role of Songbearer and enters into a contract with Dino, a powerful and attractive monster. As she adapts to her new position and Dino's unusual form of interaction, Nea is assigned the task of finding the Grimmdoll Chain, an artifact held by the enigmatic Masked Monster. The nature of the exchange for her wishes remains uncertain.
