Kyoufu no Toudai

It centers on a boy who secretly arrives on an island known for its shipwrecks, where his father serves as a lighthouse keeper. Strange occurrences begin to unfold around the lighthouse, with the father's unusual behavior contributing to a series of mysteries. The author, influenced by Edogawa Ranpo, was known during this time for quickly producing notable mystery works such as “Yottsu no Hanzai.” This piece reflects the author’s blend of humanistic warmth and humor, while also suggesting a more cynical perspective.
