Kyoutei Shoujo

Hayamizu Akira comes from a wealthy background and is expected to follow a predetermined path, but she resents the social obligations and elitism tied to her status. During an escape from one of her mother's events, she meets a gambler being pursued by a loan shark. They end up at a speedboat race where the gambler wins enough to settle his debts. Akira is drawn to the race itself, particularly impressed by a female competitor who wins. Inspired, she makes the decision to become a professional speedboat racer. The challenge ahead is to break free from her mother's control and pursue this new direction in her life.
