Takeru Yamato, once labeled a savior, was summoned to a different world and killed due to his abilities. Upon waking, he returns to Japan, the place he was from before his summoning. However, the city is now under attack by demons emerging from mysterious "gates," with individuals known as hunters battling them using magic. Despite his return, Takeru chooses to conceal his powers and attempt a normal life, though circumstances may force his hand.
