LETHE

A soldier named Mazda Hun becomes entangled in a conflict he does not understand and is taken by the government. Instead of execution, society employs a system called Lethe, which has various names such as mercy, treatment, and reformation. The process is painless and swift, yet those subjected to it regard it as a fate worse than death. Lethe erases a person's soul and replaces it with a new identity that holds no memory of the past. Individuals who go through it appear less than human afterward. Mazda Hun faces this outcome soon.
