A nobleman named Le Luyan, afflicted with a fatal illness, spends his remaining time traveling through a martial world. He encounters Mu Ran, a wandering warrior whose blood has the ability to heal him. Mu Ran appears to be immune to harm, and his blood is sought after for its miraculous properties. The two become involved in conflicts surrounding the Exquisite Elixir, a potion at the center of both visible and secret rivalries in the martial world.
